Usta Referees Resignation Due to Foreign Referee Crisis

The discussion about who will officiate the Beşiktaş – Galatasaray derby in the 29th week of the Super League has been ongoing for a long time. Following Slavko Vincic’s whistle in the Galatasaray-Fenerbahçe match, Beşiktaş side had demanded foreign referees be appointed for the derbies.

In a meeting held by the TFF administration, the issue of the derby referee was discussed. The majority of the officials expressed their preference for local referees and granted full authority to President İbrahim Hacıosmanoğlu for the final decision.

It has been determined that Hacıosmanoğlu decided for a local referee to officiate the Beşiktaş-Galatasaray derby. Following the disagreement, Ceyhun Kazancı decided to resign from his position at the TFF.
